Bill Holmes, President
Bill Holmes is a long-time resident of East Whiteland and worked as an IT professional during his entire career before retiring from Vanguard in 2020. Prior to joining the Library board, Bill served as a Township Supervisor in East Whiteland. Bill also served on a number of boards including the East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Association and the Chester County Association of Township Officials.

Shannon Doran, Vice President
Shannon Doran is a resident of East Goshen Township and has spent most of her career in Sales and Marketing in the Retail and Consumer Products industries. She currently works Part-Time for Malvern-based Prelude Solutions. In addition to her work with the Malvern Public Library, Shannon also enjoys serving as a volunteer at her children’s schools, as well as on the sidelines of their extracurricular activities.

Kent Kingan, Treasurer
Kent Kingan is a 30+ year resident of East Whiteland and worked in accounting and finance for 40 yrs before retiring in 2022. He is married and raised 3 children who all went to Great Valley schools from K-12, and they grew up loving the Malvern Library. Kent is a dedicated reader and hiker and is active in other volunteer organizations.

Helise Bichefsky, Secretary
Helise Bichefsky, DO has been a Malvern Borough resident for 25+ years. Helise has volunteered with the Friends of the Library for a number of years, eventually becoming a Trustee of the Board with the library. She has volunteered throughout the community in a variety of other capacities, including Parks and Recreation Chairperson, Environmental Advisory Council Chairperson, and a number of other committees within the Borough. She has served on a number of other boards including for the Adult Day Care of Chester County. Helise is a physician of 30 years, with a private Internal Medicine practice in West Chester. Helise's children began going to the library at 2 years old for story time and summer reading activities. Their favorite summer activity was the Chester County Library Scavenger Hunt which took them to all 18 libraries!! They remain avid readers!!

Ann DiMedio, Trustee
Ann DiMedio joined the Malvern Public Library board as a member at large representing Willistown Township in the summer of 2023. Ann earned a BA and a MAT at James Madison University before teaching high school English. Ann spent countless hours with her 3 children enjoying all the Malvern Public Library’s children’s programming offerings, including story times, summer book challenges, and the summer science program. Currently, Ann works as the administrative assistant to the principal at Great Valley High School. She enjoys reading southern literature and Shakespeare, as well as enjoying the outdoors with her dog and watching ALL the Phillies games!

Kaitlyn O’Donnell, Trustee
Kaitlyn O’Donnell is a long time resident of East Goshen Township. With a Master of Education degree, she has built a career as a certified K–12 reading specialist, focusing on elementary education. Her professional journey includes roles as a language arts teacher and literacy specialist in Title I schools, where she has worked to enhance student literacy and learning outcomes. In addition to serving as a trustee on the Malvern Public Library Board, her commitment to education extends to her personal life, where she volunteers at her children’s schools and organizes various fundraising events to support their educational institutions. When she’s not shuttling her three children between gymnastics, swim, and T-ball, chances are you can find them enjoying the Children’s section or one of Miss Emily’s story times!

Christine Hafer, Trustee
Christine Hafer is a resident of Malvern. Before moving to the area, she worked as a public school Librarian and volunteered at the Young Readers Center within the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. Christine now works as a learning support teacher specializing in reading intervention programs. Besides being on the library board, she volunteers with the Chester County Master Gardeners and CRC watersheds.

Ryan Downey, Trustee
Ryan Downey is a Willistown Township resident and works as a director of communications and business development at a financial services firm. In addition to his board role, Ryan volunteers with local organizations, the Willistown Conservation Trust and the Chester, Ridley, Crum Watersheds Association. On the weekends, Ryan can be found at the library shepherding his kindergarten and preschool-age children around the Children's section, trying to keep their volume down.

Meghan Dehmelt, Member at Large
Megan Kaminskas is a Willistown resident and former Malvern Children’s Librarian. She received her Masters of Library and Information Science from Drexel University and spent the following 8 years as a children’s and teen librarian in New Jersey before coming over to Pennsylvania. She was an active participant in both the New Jersey Library Association and the American Library Association during her career.
